Byzantine Empire

This course will trace the main events of Byzantine history (330 –1453) chronologically and will discuss a number of specific topics such as the political organization of Byzantium, international relations, society, economy, and culture. HY 5011 Europe in the High Middle Ages: Renaissance and Reformation, 1300-1648 (3) European society as seen through its philosophy, religion, literature, and politics.
