Advanced Modern Japanese I

Students will read texts of intermediate difficulty, write essays, and perform sophisticated oral exercises in the form of speeches, skits, or other simulatedsituations. Emphasis is placed on idiomatic usage of the modern language. Topics will vary from semester to semester and will be determined, in part, by student goals and interests.
