The first of a two-semester sequence in Introductory Mandarin Chinese. The goal of the two-semester course is to introduce students to Mandarin as it is spoken today. Emphasis is on developing speaking and listening skills through intensive drills, exposure to basic structural patterns and functional vocabulary. Core Course.
