Undergraduate Directed Research

Undergraduate Directed Research (UDR) courses give students the opportunity to conduct closely supervised research on a chosen mathematics topic and to write a substantial paper or report based on semester long study and analysis of the research question. Research plans must be discussed with the supervising faculty member and students must submit a project proposal to be approved by the department chair prior to registration in the course.
