Coastal Fisheries Ecology

Coastal ecosystems, including estuaries, salt marshes, mangroves, and seagrass beds, support a rich diversity of species and are critical in sustaining fisheries. These ecosystems serve as important nursery grounds for juvenile fish, contributing to the sustainability of marine food webs and commercial fisheries. This course will provide an in-depth exploration of the ecological functions of coastal ecosystems in supporting fisheries.
