Marine Geology

This course provides an in-depth study of the geology of ocean basins, with particular emphasis on the continental shelves, their sediments, and the sedimentary processes that shape them. Special focus will be placed on the northeast Gulf Coast, where students will explore the geological history, sedimentation processes, and coastal geology through both lectures and field trips. Students will gain hands-on experience in technical writing, conducting research, and working as a team.
