Introduction to mathematical statistics. Topics include sampling distributions and the central limit theorem, concepts and properties of point estimators, various methods of point estimation, construction of confidence intervals, interval estimation, tests of hypotheses and Neyman-Pearson lemma, Likelihood Ratio tests, and Chi-square test for goodness of fit. Additional topics in inference and estimation may be included, time permitting.
