Principles of Sound and Image

An introduction to fundamental principles of media aesthetics and visual rhetoricsthat govern the use of sound and image in media, new and old. Integrating principles and practice, the course combines theoretical approaches to media forms with a primer on key media techniques, including production planning, camera techniques, digital editing, shot composition, storyboarding, narrativedevelopment, and sound design.
