The student is presented with theory and techniques in immunohematology. This course covers antigen and antibody reactions, including blood typing, antibody detection and identification, and compatibility testing. Upon completion, students should be able to apply the theories and principles of immunohematology to procedures for transfusion and donor services, and correlate blood banking practices with specific disease states and disorders. MLT 142 (Microbiology II) Grade "C" or better
