Fluid Flow in Porous Media

In this course, the fundamental theory of transport and fluid flow in heterogeneous porous media will be presented. First, the equations that govern transport and fluid flow processes will be derived. Both analytical and numerical methods will be used to solve these equations in order to characterize and predict flow fields in porous media. These skills will then be applied to practical problems that involve porous media such as soils, rocks, biological tissues, concrete, etc.
