By course end, students will demonstrate a) the ability to define and apply existing music therapy methods, techniques, materials, and equipment, b) a basic knowledge of the purpose, intent and function of music therapy for various populations, and c) the understanding and apply the use of evidence-based music therapy techniques and approaches within hospice palliative care, mental health, and medical settings, and d) understand and apply strategies and techniques to develop a music therapy
