Survey of Choral Performance Literature

The course covers detailed consideration of literature of all periods appropriate for choral ensembles and includes discussions on repertoire selection/performance problems peculiar to all ensemble sizes. Assignments give students opportunity to develop their own approach to vocal challenges that face high school and junior high singers, including arranging choral music. Prerequisites: MU 3208 and MU 3254, all with a grade of "C" or better.
