Instrumental Performance and Literature

In this course, instrument-specific teaching materials for the college or professional teacher will be covered. Methods, etudes, solo literature, ornamentation, excerpts, and historical implications will be examined and discussed. Available recordings and corollary readings will supplement class discussion. Instrument-specific maintenance, techniques, and teaching schools will be discussed.
