Winds and Percussions

This course consists of principles of orchestration, basic methods and techniques of brass, woodwinds, and percussion instruments. This course prepares students to acquire instrumental concepts, skills, and rehearsal techniques required to teach in public schools. It covers concepts of tone quality, embouchure, proper breathing, posture, playing position, articulation, and stick grip.
