New Testament Text - General Epistles

This course is a critical introduction to the letters of James, Peter, John, and Jude with an exegesis of selected passages. Attention is given to the main literary characteristics, theological themes, and distinctive message of each book. Particular attention is given to passages that involve special problems of interpretation. Instruction will be in English with students required to translate portions of the text covered.
