New Testament Literature is a study of a book, segment of a book, or selection of books from the canonical writings of the New Testament. The course focuses on the genre, occasion, content, theology, and history of interpretation of the text(s) under discussion. Lectures and assignments emphasize understanding the text within its social, political, and religious setting. Throughout the course, the book’s significance for ministry and life in modern communities of faith is highlighted.
