Transition to Professional Nursing

Designed to be a capstone course in the baccalaureate nursing program. Professional nursing competencies such as patient safety, patient centered care, teamwork and collaboration, health informatics, evidence based practice and quality improvement are key components of the course. Validation of nursing knowledge related to clinical reasoning, clinical decision making, prioritization, delegation, problem solving, leadership/management is highlighted.
