Transition to Practice: The Advanced Practice Nurse as

Healthcare Provider. This course is designed for students preparing for the entry level role of a nurse practitioner. Students will examine a more in-depth view of the nurse practitioner role specific to licensure, malpractice, national certification and exam, and prescriptive authority including controlled substances. Prescriptive delegation, DEA, and other advanced practice nurse role socialization aspects are explored.
