Geriatric Primary Care Practicum

This course serves as a companion course to NURS 5256. Students will refine skills using an evidence-based approach for health promotion, disease prevention, and integrative clinical management of common acute and chronic illness for geriatric patients and families. Comprehensive health status assessment, end of life care, and complex chronic health issues are addressed. Clinical practicum hours are aligned with current nurse practitioner education standards and located in the course syllabus.
