WI: Teaching & Learning Strat

This course examines teaching strategies that promote learning and foster critical thinking. Emphasis is on the science of teaching and learning that includes theories and characteristics of active learning, whole brain learning and engaged learning. Information technologies that support teaching and learning are explored. In this writing intensive course, strategies to promote effective written and oral communication, and reflective thinking are discussed and applied.
