Nutrition Assessment and Counseling

Based on the nutrition care process, the nutrition assessment section of this course will emphasize components such as anthropometric assessment, biochemical assessment, clinical assessment, and dietary assessment. Nutrition assessment methods will be discussed and evaluated as applied to clients and patients. Results will be used to determine nutrition status and develop a nutrition care plan consisting of a nutrition diagnosis, intervention plan, and monitoring.
