Applied Biomechanics

University of West Georgia

CoursePHED 4605

This course applies the core concepts of anatomy and mechanical physics to human motion. Kinematic (distance, speed, acceleration) and kinetic (force, momentum, torque) concepts related to motion along a straight line (linear motion) and around an axis of rotation (angular motion) are major themes of this course. The student will apply these concepts in analyzing exercise and sport skills.
