Addressing Health Inequities

Despite improvements in the overall health of many populations and recent major policy initiatives to ensure better access to health, significant differences in the health and wellness outcomes of different groups remain. For example, income inequality is associated with poorer health outcomes, and efforts to minimize these inequalities have not always been successful at improving the lives of the most vulnerable.
