Physics for Society

Conceptual survey of many fields of physics with an emphasis on the explanation of everyday physical phenomena. While the course is primarily conceptual in nature, an understanding of high school algebra is necessary for understanding the quantitative concepts in the course. Not applicable to a major or minor in physics; closed to those who have had PHYS 101 or PHYS 203. Includes laboratory.
