Teaching English Phonology, Orthography, and Morphology

This course focuses on what educators need to know about the English language in order to teach phonics, spelling, and vocabulary effectively. The course is rooted in a linguistic and historical exploration of language change through usage, but focuses on applied understanding of these concepts in PK-12 reading and writing instruction.
