Content Reading

This course provides information about instruction in the elementary content areas with emphasis on the effective use of textbooks and tradebooks. Course topics include: nature and purpose of content instruction and reading, text selection, use of tradebooks, comprehension, inquiry learning and problem solving, and assessment and meeting individual needs in content reading.
