Philosophical Foundations of Recreation and Sport

Management. This course introduces and explores the meanings of recreation, sport, and leisure behaviors and services from historical, philosophical, sociological, and political perspectives. Students will develop a philosophical view of recreation and sport based on exploration of the history as well as consideration of the nature of the individual and society.
