Curriculum and Assessment in Mathematics

An examination of curriculum development and assessment for classroom teaching designed to integrate New York State Learning Standards and required testing, such as the Regents exams, into the curriculum. The course builds on the fundamental pedagogical content knowledge in specific disciplines in SEYS 361. Taught in tandem with the student teaching experience to enrich the student teacher’s understanding of curriculum and assessment issues within a working classroom.
