Applied Translation Methods

This course is an introduction to applied translation methods. Students practice the specific tasks involved in the vocabulary, sentence structure, and cultural complexities of the translation process in Spanish and English while acquiring the proficiency to produce professional translations in fields such as advertising, business, healthcare, law, sports, and journalism. It may be repeated once for credit when its topic varies.
