Special Education Law

This course provides an overview of the legislative history within the United States related to persons with various disabilities. Emphasis will be added to the role of the educator in the specific responsibilities and liabilities required to develop appropriate educational programs for students with disabilities. The course will highlight the collaborative nature required for education professionals and parents to facilitate a student's academic and social development.
