Social Policy I

This first course in the social welfare policy sequence will identify and explore the social, political, economic and historical foundations of the American Social Welfare system. Emphasis will be placed on policy-making processes, revealing linkages between social problems, program development, policy formulation and social work practice as it relates to political structures and formal organizations.
