Advanced Social Work Practice with Substance Misuse Clients

This course focuses on therapeutic interventions for clients who have issues related to alcohol and drug misuse and will help students gain an increased knowledge of the misuse of alcohol and mind-altering substances with a particular emphasis on the impact of substance misuse on individuals, families, and communities. Social workers in virtually all areas of practice deal with individuals, families, and communities who have problems related to addiction.
