Assessment and Psychopathology

This advanced course equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct comprehensive assessments and accurately diagnose mental health disorders using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). Grounded in a strengths-based, person-in-environment framework, the course emphasizes ethical, culturally competent, and evidence-informed practices. Students will explore the etiology, symptoms, and diagnostic criteria of major mental health disorders.
