Western Intellectual Tradition I: The Heritage of Greece and Rome

First in a four-semester sequence, this interdisciplinary seminar examines the classical foundations of the Western intellectual tradition. Through the works of Homer, Plato, Aristotle, Virgil, Aurelius and others, students will explore how Greco-Roman conceptions of virtue, justice, and citizenship have influenced the development of Western values.
