The Legislative Process

This course asks “What” the normal legislative process was and is currently; “How” societal changes will affect current and future law making; and “Why” did we get into this condition? This course will take into consideration public demands, business interests, racial equality, and the working-class poor as influences on law making. The class will discuss immigration, abortion, taxes, health care, and other “Hot Button” issues faced by elected officials.
