(2 clock hour lecture and 4 clock hour lab periods per week). Through readings, lectures, demonstrations and weekly shooting assignments and critique; Students are introduced the basic concepts of photography as a form of creative expression. Introduces basic digital editing, camera controls, selection and sequencing. Assignments cover traditional genres such as landscape, portrait and still life. Places a strong emphasis on interaction with classmates’ work and receptivity to critique.
