Digital Imaging for Designers

(2 clock hour lecture and 4 clock hour lab periods per week). An intermediate-level course focusing on the use of computers as aids in designing artwork and as mediums for creative work. This course includes an introduction to the concepts of using new media and how it relates to contemporary art theory and practice. This includes use of digital cameras, scanners, computers and programs – specifically Adobe Photoshop. Work created will be produced for print media, interactivity, and motion.
