DISEASE ECOLOGY

An ecological approach to traditional microbiology and parasitology by applying principles of population biology to understand disease dynamics in wildlife. Topics include: classification of infectious disease- causing agents, their life cycles, and transmission patterns; dynamics at the individual and host levels; ecologically informed strategies to control diseases; and current topics.
