Agricultural Education

The Agricultural Education major leads to the Bachelor of Science degree and prepares students for a teaching career in grades six through twelve as specialists in agricultural education.

Allied Health

The Allied Health program provides the undergraduate prerequisites for students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in fields such as nursing, nuclear and radiological sciences, respiratory therapy, clinical laboratory science, dental hygiene, and other health-related careers.

Biology

Upon completion of the Biology program, majors are prepared for technical careers and graduate studies in specialized biology fields such as biochemistry, microbiology, and environmental science, as well as medical and health-related studies. Concentrations are offered in Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Professional, and Pre-Veterinary.

Business Administration

The Master of Business Administration reflects the interdisciplinary nature of an MBA degree, encompassing finance, marketing, leadership, strategy, and technology management to prepare graduates for multifaceted leadership roles in business. Graduates demonstrate proficiency in financial analysis, strategic decision-making, leadership, marketing, information systems management, and quantitative analysis.

Business Administration

The Bachelor of Business Administration program is designed to prepare students for entry-level management positions in a variety of business organizations within the context of a Christian worldview. Students may pursue a concentration in Management or Computer Information Systems.

This associate degree is designed for students who wish to pursue a two-year degree in business administration, preparing them for immediate entry-level placement in the business job market or to continue directly into a bachelor's degree program at Emmanuel.

The Secondary Business Education major leads to the Bachelor of Science degree and prepares students for a teaching career in grades six through twelve as specialists in the field of business education.

Child Studies

The Child Studies major is a non-certification program for students who want to work with young children in a variety of agencies such as Head Start, preschool centers, after-school and recreation programs, and children's ministries. The curriculum provides a strong holistic background in the study of children from birth to early adolescence.

Christian Ministries (BA)

The Christian Ministry major introduces a variety of studies in practical ministry as well as Biblical and theological studies to help define the student's ministry interests. The Bachelor of Arts differs from the Bachelor of Science primarily by requiring courses in New Testament Greek; concentration options are available.

The Christian Ministry major introduces a variety of studies in practical ministry as well as Biblical and theological studies to help define the student's ministry interests. The Bachelor of Science option is offered with concentration options and does not require New Testament Greek.

Communication (BA)

Communication at Emmanuel prepares students to be Christian communicators, incorporating information, technology, and community. Students complete core communication courses plus a concentration (digital media production, strategic communication, or sports communication), preparing for careers in media production, public relations, and related fields.

Communication at Emmanuel prepares students to be Christian communicators, incorporating information, technology, and community. The Bachelor of Science option completes core communication courses plus a concentration, preparing for entry-level positions in media, public relations, and marketing.

Criminal Justice (BA)

The Criminal Justice program prepares students to enter the multifaceted field of law enforcement, corrections, probation/parole, and juvenile justice through an academic and practical, interdisciplinary approach. The Bachelor of Arts option requires foreign language study.

The interdisciplinary program draws from sociology, psychology, political science, and pre-law studies.

Diversified Agriculture

The Diversified Agriculture program prepares students to be leaders and visionaries in various fields of agricultural study and to join the agriculture workforce, with hands-on experience and internships. Students select a concentration in Business, Communication, Missions, or Science. (Note: the catalog curriculum pages do not explicitly print the degree designation.)

Divinity

The Master of Divinity degree program builds on the Master of Ministry degree, emphasizing both academic and professional development to better equip the Church leader to lead and serve with excellence. The program includes options of emphasis, such as a Pastoral Ministry Emphasis.

Elementary Education

The Master of Education in Elementary Education develops teachers who possess the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century classroom within a biblical worldview. Through the program, elementary teachers further their knowledge in their chosen field through advanced study and research which fosters learning in the P-5 classroom.

English

The Bachelor of Arts degree in English is designed to lead students into greater appreciation for excellent writing and enhanced skill in written communication, sampling masterpieces of Western and non-Western literature along with the history and structure of the English language.

Exercise Science

The Master of Science in Exercise Science prepares students for career opportunities in health and wellness in school, community, business, and government settings, offering concentrations in Strength Training and Conditioning, Health and Human Performance, and Athletic Coaching. Kinesiology and Sport Management majors further their knowledge through advanced study and research that fosters competency in their profession, integrating faith and learning.

Film & Television Production

A certificate for non-degree-seeking students offered through an agreement with the Georgia Film Consortium utilizing the Georgia Film Academy, providing hands-on film and television production training by completing one of several GFA pathways (production, post-production, or digital entertainment/esports).

General Education

As a Christian liberal arts institution, Emmanuel's General Education associate program helps students develop as holistic individuals and provides a foundation for career preparation and for further work toward a baccalaureate degree.

The study of history provides a framework for investigating ideas, concepts, and trends that have shaped mankind, with emphasis on Christianity's influence on world history. The Bachelor of Arts option requires twelve hours of foreign language.

The study of history provides a framework for investigating ideas, concepts, and trends that have characterized the collective experience of mankind, with Emmanuel emphasizing historical studies because of Christianity's profound influence on world history. The Bachelor of Science option requires a minor in another department.

History Education

The Secondary History Education major leads to a Bachelor of Science degree and prepares students for teaching history in grades six through twelve, producing teachers with internalized content depth to instruct history as a specialty field.

Kinesiology

The Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology prepares students for career opportunities in health and wellness in school, community, business, and government settings, providing a Christian worldview of sports and an active, healthy lifestyle.

Mathematics

The mathematics degree gives students the fluency to pursue graduate or professional studies or careers in applied mathematics, teaching, and related fields, with experience in problem solving, modeling, abstract thinking, and technical computing from a Christian worldview.

Mathematics Education

The Mathematics Secondary Education major leads to the Bachelor of Science degree and prepares students for a teaching career in grades six through twelve as specialists in mathematics, with strong emphasis on mathematics content and standards.

Middle Grades Education

The Middle Grades Education major leads to the Bachelor of Science degree and prepares students for a teaching career in grades four through eight. Students specialize in at least two content areas chosen from language arts, mathematics, science, or social studies.

Ministry

The Master of Ministry is an academic and practical course of study to equip pastors, youth pastors, missionaries, and other ministry leaders to better understand God's Word and increase their ability to lead and serve effectively. Operating from a biblical worldview, it focuses on the spiritual, intellectual, and professional growth of students and helps them integrate faith and learning into their ministry pursuits.

Psychology (BA)

The Psychology program provides broad-based knowledge of psychology as a science and the integration of psychology and Christianity, preparing students for graduate study or careers in the helping professions. The Bachelor of Arts option requires foreign language study.

Psychology (BS)

The Psychology program provides students with broad-based knowledge of the history of psychology as a science, the application of psychological principles to professional practice, and the integration of psychology and Christianity, preparing them for graduate study or careers in the helping professions.

Special Education General Curriculum/Elementary

This major leads to the Bachelor of Science degree and prepares students for a teaching career in preschool through grade five with dual certification in Elementary Education and Special Education General Curriculum, incorporating theory and practice from both fields.

Sport and Fitness

The Sport and Fitness major is a non-certification program preparing students for professional positions in health and physical education such as coaching, administrative positions in exercise/athletic centers, personal training, and strength and conditioning.

Sports Management

The Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management prepares students for careers in sports management, combining a strong background in sports with a strong business component to develop skills for management-level positions in organized sport.

Strategic Communication

The Master of Arts in Strategic Communication equips students with advanced skills in strategic, digital, and crisis communication. Combining theory and real-world practice, the program prepares graduates to lead in diverse settings, emphasizing ethics, conflict and problem resolution, and effective communication strategies, while integrating faith-based content for academic and Christian growth.

Teaching

Reflecting the institution's Christian worldview, the Master of Arts in Teaching continues the University's mission to integrate faith, learning, and living to foster teachers who reflect and grow spiritually, intellectually, and professionally. Through the MAT, individuals earn a graduate degree while completing the requirements for initial teaching certification.

Worship Ministry

The Bachelor of Science in Worship Ministry is designed to prepare students for the practical ministry of music and the worship arts in the context of contemporary evangelical and Pentecostal-Charismatic local churches.
