Associate of Arts

The Associate of Arts degree emphasizes broad, general education requirements with no distinction made regarding majors, preparing students to pursue higher degrees. Students complete the Core General Education requirements plus electives sufficient for a total of 61 hours.

Biblical Education

Prepares students through study of Biblical Literature, Education, and Communication, requiring 48 upper-level hours in those areas. Students pursuing the Bachelor of Science must take at least one semester of natural science.

Biblical Studies

This degree equips you to thoughtfully share the gospel, pursue graduate biblical studies, or simply deepen your own understanding and appreciation for His Word. Your studies will include the historical and cultural context of scripture, along with the study of biblical languages, religious thought, and the history of religious movements.

Biology

Prepares graduates for careers in the biological sciences and advanced study in professional and graduate schools, providing broad foundational knowledge of biological theory and practices as well as strong content knowledge in general biology.

Business Administration

Prepares students to lead and serve in business employment and post-graduate education, integrating Christian values and character with professional and academic achievement across a broad range of industries and organizations.

Communication

Designed to create an appreciation for communication theory and practice, develop communication skills and techniques, and promote best practices, preparing students for professional life and post-graduate education.

Educational Studies

Graduates gain broad, foundational knowledge of educational theory and practice as well as strong content knowledge in a specialized area, preparing them for work in private educational settings and for seeking state certification. Offered with specializations in Biology, History, and Reading.

Elementary Education

Accredited by the Florida Department of Education, this program prepares graduates to apply for K-6 teacher certification with ESOL and Reading endorsements to the Florida Department of Education.

English

Provides opportunity to develop critical reading, thinking, analytical, and communication skills through the study of American, British, and world literatures as well as English language studies, preparing students for careers in journalism, education, business, publishing, law, and graduate study.

Finance

A business program preparing students for careers in finance, building on the business foundational and core courses with major courses in financial policies and strategies, financial modeling and analysis, and principles of investment.

History

Focuses on the history of Western Civilization and the United States as foundational to an American liberal arts education, developing analytical, critical thinking, research, writing, and oral communication skills for careers in teaching, law, museum and archival work, and other fields.

Kinesiology

A multidisciplinary study of human movement drawing on biological, physical, psychological, and health sciences, preparing graduates for careers in health and human performance and for entrance into related graduate programs, particularly Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. Offered with specializations in Exercise Science, Pre-Occupational Therapy, and Pre-Physical Therapy.

Liberal Studies (BA)

An interdisciplinary program emphasizing breadth of study rather than a single discipline, encouraging students to develop a broad understanding of a variety of disciplines from both academic and biblical perspectives. The BA track requires two semesters of a foreign language.

Liberal Studies (BS)

An interdisciplinary program emphasizing breadth of study across multiple disciplines from academic and biblical perspectives; the BS track is available only for pre-professional health majors with a Health Science or Physical Education component and requires no foreign language.

Marketing

A business program preparing students for careers in marketing, building on business foundational and core courses with major courses in promotion strategies, consumer behavior, marketing strategy, marketing research, and digital marketing.

Mathematics Education

Accredited by the Florida Department of Education, this program prepares graduates to apply for 6-12 Mathematics teacher certification to the Florida Department of Education.

Mechanical Engineering

Prepares students for careers and leadership in Mechanical Engineering and related disciplines, integrating biblical concepts with an education that develops students spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially.

Music

Provides high-quality music instruction and performance opportunities in a liberal arts context; accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. Offered with General Music, Music and Health, Music Industry, and Musical Theater emphases.

Music Education

Prepares students for Music (Grades K-12) certification, requiring coursework in music, music education, and professional education, including a semester-long internship. Accredited by NASM and approved by the Florida Department of Education.

Nursing

A four-year program designed for students with no previous nursing preparation, providing clinical learning experiences to prepare graduates as nurse generalists eligible to write the NCLEX-RN. Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

Organizational Communication

A multi-disciplinary degree combining the study of Communication with select courses in Behavioral Science, English, Management, Marketing, Media Studies, and Sports Management, preparing graduates for communication positions in corporate, non-profit, and government sectors.

Psychology

A systematic study of human behavior and mental processes grounded in a biblical worldview, preparing students for graduate study and careers in a wide range of people-oriented professions such as psychology, business, health services, and law.
