Passing the NALS ALP demonstrates an examinee's commitment and aptitude for succeeding in the ever-changing legal environment. The exam consists of three parts including Communications, Legal Procedures, and Ethics.

Certified Legal Professional

The CLP is the designation for lawyer's assistants who want to be identified as exceptional. Certification is achieved after passing a four part exam covering communications, office procedures and knowledge, legal ethics, and substantive law. Passing the exam demonstrates not only dedication to professionalism but acceptance of the challenge to be exceptional.

Professional Paralegal

The Professional Paralegal certification is an attainable goal for paralegals who wish to be identified as exceptional in all areas of law. The certification is received after passing a four part exam covering advanced communications, advanced legal procedures and technology, advanced legal ethics, and advanced substantive law.
