We currently offer this Heavy Equipment Operator (Bulldozer) training course is offered online, using a self-paced, and interactive learning approach. Upon completing the online part, students may then complete the lab portion of the course at any of the 24 Community Colleges around the state.

This Heavy Equipment Operator (Bulldozer) course is offered online with a self-paced, interactive approach, followed by hands-on lab training for participants pursuing a career in construction and earthmoving operations. Participants learn equipment applications, attachments, operating controls, preventive maintenance, and basic operating techniques. The training covers safety, machine controls, maintenance, inspection, and operating procedures, and gives experienced operators a useful refresher. Participants also explore issues related to road and highway construction. Participants who successfully complete the theory and hands on lab for this course earn an ACCS credential. Academic Pathways: This non-credit workforce training course may also help participants earn college credit through Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) or articulation opportunities toward select certificate or degree programs at participating Alabama community colleges. Credit awards are granted solely at the discretion of the receiving institution in accordance with its academic policies.
