General Studies
Alcorn State University
The General Studies program is designed for non-traditional students with diverse interests, drawing on courses offered across the curriculum and administered through the Department of Education and Psychology. Incoming freshmen cannot choose General Studies as a major unless they meet the requirements for non-traditional student status. Each student completes two different 21-hour concentration areas and must pass the University technology exam and the departmental General Studies Exit Exam.
