The Department of Social Work prepares students for entry-level social work positions as generalist practitioners as well as for graduate programs. The curriculum consists of 44 hours of general education core requirements plus a professional curriculum covering social work values and ethics, diversity, social and economic justice, populations-at-risk, human behavior in the social environment, social welfare policy and services, social work practice, and research.
