Earning this specialty demonstrates to employers and project owners that you're qualified to inspect surface preparation, coating application, and quality-control practices specific to bridge structures. With this credential, you can verify coatings work on bridge steel, concrete, and other substrates in accordance with AMPP standards. Registration, payment, and exam scheduling are completed through your My Certification Portal. Prerequisite Current Basic Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 1), Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 2), or Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 3) certification. Highly recommended completion of the CIP Bridge eCourse and Ethics for the Corrosion Professional course.
