The Offshore Corrosion Assessment Training (O-CAT) course teaches you how to assess corrosion protection systems used on fixed offshore platforms, perform inspection evaluations, identify safety hazards and critical corrosion areas, and apply industry-recognized inspection methods — including grading systems used for Level I facility reports. Your registration includes certification exam access — both the practical field-oriented assessment administered as part of the course and the written certification exam delivered via computer-based testing. Prerequisite There are no required prerequisites for this course. Recommended: A basic understanding of science and chemistry is recommended to gain the most value from this course and Basic Corrosion Course.
