The PCIM Technologist Certification is intended for experienced pipeline and corrosion professionals who want to move beyond hands-on work into technical leadership and strategic integrity roles. Candidates should have prior pipeline experience and training, including PCIM Technician-level knowledge. Certification demonstrates advanced expertise in internal corrosion assessment, cathodic protection evaluation, field inspection, risk-based integrity management, and mitigation strategy development. Prerequisite PCIM Technician Certification required (or alternative paths via Senior Corrosion Technologist, Senior Internal Corrosion Technologist + CP2 + CCI, bachelor's degree plus 4 years pipeline experience, or 8 years pipeline experience). Successful completion of Direct Assessment, In-line Inspection, PCIM, and Ethics courses required.
