Candidates should be well-versed in metallurgy and chemical treatment, coating systems, internal corrosion, cathodic protection, and safety planning. To qualify, you need 8 years of verifiable corrosion work experience, or a bachelor's degree in physical sciences or engineering. Achieving this certification validates you as a high-level corrosion professional capable of working independently, making strategic decisions, and leading under minimal supervision. Prerequisite 8 years of verifiable work experience, including 4 years in responsible charge; OR Bachelor's degree in physical sciences or engineering with 4 years of experience in responsible charge. Successful completion of the Ethics for the Corrosion Professional course or equivalent training.
