The Shipboard Corrosion Assessment Technician (S-CAT) course provides a comprehensive foundation in coatings, corrosion, and corrosion control as they relate to evaluating ships, tanks, and other waterborne structures. You'll gain the knowledge needed to determine structural condition, identify coating system deficiencies, and understand the actions required to maintain assets in fully operational status. Prerequisite There are no required prerequisites for this course. Recommended: A basic understanding of science and chemistry and the Basic Corrosion Course.
