Sociology
Beloit College
The challenge of sociology is its insight into the complicated connections between individual lives and social institutions. The department's goal is to give students the analytical tools of sociology that clarify those connections and enable them to become critical, thinking citizens, through concepts and theories, experience in the field, and practical research skills. The degree requires a minimum of 31 units of Beloit credit; Beloit uses course units rather than semester credit hours.
